Understanding the above subject is ambiguous. Different people from different background understand it differently and dealing with it not well understood. Below is sample opinion from my facebook page when I first put it up for discussion. I deduce that there are people who do not really understood what DEMONS are, let alone detecting and dealing with its existing in themselves or other individual.

  • Enughwure Kelvin We only cast out demons not killing demons bcos if demons are to be killed dat means sum demons would hv been killed in d past, for instance if demons uses a body to funtion nd we r praying for d demon to die not knwing dat demons can die wit d body so tell me are we going to continue killing demons wit human being,we only cast it out nd command dem by using d word which is jESUS christ.

  • Sylvester Simon When a man dies his spirit n' soul leave de body. Same way, de demonic spirit leaves de body and look for some other person's body to inhabit.
  • Kimbella Elizabeth Parker Cast it out and send it to hell. Only in the name of Jesus it will work
  • Kimbella Elizabeth Parker Must be fillled with the holy ghost and annoting to do this casting out
  • Christina Parker Demons are definitely real and use people to stir up chaos and confusion. I have seen people who were demonically possessed and its real!
  • Charles Sunny If we are true followers of Christ. Then I never had in the bible where Jesus Christ kill demons but rather cast them away .... demons are like immortals they are there to torment people that deviate from God's way. That is why Jesus said go and sin no more so that the demon won't come back higher and strong to torment our lifes...
  • Christina Parker You can pray demons away but sometimes demons do taunt Christians by using nonbelievers to do their evil works.
  • Drucilia Isotuk Demons are not to and can not be killed, they can only be bound nd cast. As xtian we have power to cast out demons, there is no provision in the bible for the killing of demons. We can cast and resist them and they will flee from us. However, after their flight they can come back when the atmosphere appears safe for them and that is why we must be fervent in prayer always
  • Kelechi Nwadi U can only band or cast out demons. Dey dont die. And wen a person is delivered from demonic oppressions u must be careful not to allow them back into ur life cos it goes back to bring bring 7 more deadlier ones n d end of such person is worst dan e begining
  • Ozoba C. Gabriel Please let us follow the Bible with some understanding that demons are works of the devil. In 1Jn.3:8 the Bible says "He that committeth sin is of the devil: for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that...See More
  • Jude Nweze No one except God, has power to de stroy demons: believers are onlygiven power to cast out Devils/demons-Mark 16:17. God, who alone can destroy them has set the time for their judgement and punishment by himself -2Peter2:4, Revelation20:10. And until then, nobody has been given power to destroy demons!; believers are given power only to cast out Devils! .
  • Hannah Libby Well, according to d word of GOD, we should cast them out and also bind anything that trouble us. For d bible says that whatever we bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. But I think if u do further study on it with d help of d Holy Spirit, HE (Holy Spirit) will enlighten u. Be blessed.
  • Sowande Adepeju Have not heard it in the bible where JESUS prayed for demonic spirit to die, he only cast them out, you can't pray for demonic spirit to die because they can't/won't die, you can only cast them out in the name me JESUS.
  • Ozoba C. Gabriel Demons has time to expire. Matt.8:29. This is why u need the Holy Spirit to know how to go about the kill of demons. Jesus Christ was not swallow by fish but Jonah was. Jesus Christ was not at the bottom of sea for 3 days just last week a young man was...See More
  • Sallytex Vick Demon can neva die but rather b cast out
  • Ozoba C. Gabriel Demons pleaded with Jesus Christ because they know he had power to kill them. Matt.8:29. Do u know you can torture or torment someone or something to death. Please make study with your Bible and dictionaries. Pray for the Holy Spirit to teach you. If you are as pure as Jesus Christ you will kill demons by tormenting to death. With the name of Jesus Christ you can destroy demons.
  • Ozoba C. Gabriel Many of us so call believers are too shallow in studying and are easily moved by emotions. You see many people in the church today yet are not believer of Christ Jesus. There are many pastors today in the working with the demonic power. If it is only to bind and cast you can do to demons why did they beg Jesus Christ to cast them?

In my quest for materials on demons n' demonic spirit for my next blog, I engaged an elderly man about this subject, just to get a view outside the Xtian viewpoint.
What he told me was was shocking. He said, ''Some of us African actually buy these demons to inhabit us...'' How? ''...some ppl have their body mark with razor blade n' some substance rub into it to make us strong, well, fight or prevent us from harm.
''in my village, we have some charm to enable us double in size while fighting, some enable us lift object 4x our size, some makes us slipery/slime and no one can get hold of us. Some fixed you on a spot n' no one can pull you out. Still, there are others when u slap a man he eat grass like an animal. Some when you punch anyone, he goes down n' whoever he touches goes down with him etc. It's demons that actually perform this.''
You can see that some demon possess ppl gave themselves willingly to these demons to occupy.
He said again, ''Some desperate mothers visit the witch doctors to ask for children from de other side. When these children come, they come possessed with demons and trouble de parents. Some end up no living long on earth before they go back to whence they come.''
The following is intended to give you a clear answer to these questions:
>          What/Who are Demons?
>          How do we recognise Demonic oppression?
>          What Power Do Demons Have?
>          What do demons do to people?
>          How do you cast out Demons?
>          What is the judgment of Demons?
A Christian can become a devil-master at once by receiving a clear understanding of the work of demons, and of their legal defeat at Calvary.
LUKE 10:1,17-20
1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
The last verse makes it clear that being saved is a greater cause for rejoicing than to cast out demons in Jesus’ Name. Our main objective of our Christian life is not to cast out devils, but to preach the gospel to the lost. But in other to do this for people to respond and get saved, we must work with the spirit who gives us authorities over satanic evil.
The Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil 1Jn3:8. Jesus calls us to join Him in His work of destroying the works of the devil.
Before we describe demons, it will be helpful if we understand a little about Satan.
Satan is the god of this world (2cor. 4:4) he was the prince of nations Matt4:8,9. He is the author of all our miseries and sorrows, of our diseases and pains, of death itself. He is the king and ruler of all demons spirits. He rules the dark host of Hell. He chief desire and design is to destroy human life and, therefore, to bring sorrow to the heart of God, our heavenly Father.
Satan has many names are mentioned in the Bible;
1.     The Devil/Enemy - Matthew 13:19,39
2.     The Accuser – Rev.12:10
3.     The Adversaries – I Peter 5:8
4.     The Dragon – Rev. 20:2
5.     The f Father of Lies – John 8:44
6.     The Tempter – Matt.4;3
7.     The Prince of the Devils – Matt.12:24
8.     The Prince of the Power of the Air – Eph.2:2
9.     The Prince of this World – John 14:30
10.                        The Corrupter of Minds – 2 Corin. 11:3

Some say there are no such things as demons today, that the title is merely a figure of speech; but this is not true: the Bible is as clear and definite in its teaching about demons as it is about angels. Both are actual and real today. Both should be understood.
Demons are wicked, hateful and destructive. Demon spirits are personalities. Demons are spirits without bodies in which to dwell.  We are spirits with bodies. Our spirits are from God. Demon spirits serve Satan and are sent from him.
Ø They Belong To The Devil
Demons belong to Satan, who is the ruler of the demons. Jesus speaks of them as “...the devil and his angels” (Mathew 25:41). The Greek word Diabolos (Devil) means “accuser or slanderer.” Always used in the singular in the New Testament.
The words daimon and daimonion are used both in the singular and the plural and are not interchangeable with diabolos, since there is but one diabolos, the devil, but many daimonion or daimon, [demons].
Ø They Are Fallen Angels
Demons are fallen angels, Jude 1: 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation...  When created, they were perfect and were given the power of choice.  Demons are angels who chose to disobey God and do the will of Satan.
a.      some are Imprisoned. First, those who sinned and are now imprisoned in chain of darkness”2 Peter2:4 waiting for the judgment of angels (1Cor.6:3).
b.      Some are free. Second, those who fell, and whom God has allowed to continue to serve Satan and his kingdom.  The reason for this is one of God’s secrets (Deut 29:29). Satan is not omnipresent (i.e, everywhere at once – like God), but he has a multitude of demons or disembodied spirits, who do his will so thoroughly that it seems as though he is present everywhere.
I have a body, but I am a spirit. My spirit dwells in my body.  I express myself (my spirit) with the faculties of my body. You can see my body, but you cannot see me because the real me is a spirit living inside my body.
My body is simply the house my spirit lives in.  Someday my body will die and return to the dust, but I (my spirit) shall never die. I shall return to God from where I came:  the spirit shall return unto God who gave it Eccl. 12:7
I (my spirit) am a personality.  I express myself with my body.  If my body were taken away, I (my spirit) could not express myself.  Sever my tongue and my spirit could not talk. Destroy my ears and I could not hear. Blind my eyes and I could not see. Even though my eyes would be blind, my ears deaf and my tongue removed, my spirit would still be there; but it could not see, hear or speak.
Amputate my limbs, and destroy all my senses of smell, touch and taste and vocal chords, and still you would not have destroyed my spirit.  But my spirit could no longer express itself. My spirit would still have a body, but its faculties of expression would have been destroyed.
Now you can understand what I mean when we talk about the difference between my spirit and my body, or the difference between me and my body.
Demons are evil spirits without bodies with which to express themselves in this world. Since they have no bodies of their own, they must wander through the land, seeking a body into which they can enter and find expression to carry out their mission of evil (Matt. 12:43).
Since demon spirits are actual personalities, they manifest their own personalities in the persons whom they enter.
There are various classes, or types, of demon spirits just like there are different types of people.  Satan is your adversary. Demons are your enemies. They resent your legal rights over them and are jealous of your heritage in Christ.
1.     Demons Talk
They talk through a person’s mental and speech faculties, in the same way that your spirit (the real you) talks through your own tongue and vocal chords.
Mark 3: 10 For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
Luke 4: 40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
Mark 1: 22 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
23 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

2.     Demons Know Their Future
Jesus met two demon-possessed men coming from among the tombs. When he was about to cast them out, they cried out, what have we to do with you, Jesus, Son of God? Are you come to torment us before the time?” Matt.8:29.
What do the demons mean by saying ‘before our time? Of what time were they speaking?  Demons know that Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels. They know the day will come when the devil will be cast into the late of fire and brimstone, where the beast and false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever Rev. 20:10. When that time comes, they know they will no longer be able to torment humanity, because their time would have come.
3.     Demons resist surrender
The eighth chapter of Matthew, the fifth chapter of Mark, and the eighth chapter of Luke set for the story of Jesus casting out the legion of demons from the maniac. The context of these scriptures reveals the following.
a.     The demons actually professed to worship Christ, evidently seeking to prevent the Lord from being too stern with them (Mark5:6)
b.     Jesus commanded them to come out of the man (Luke8:29), Mk 5:8
c.      The demons begged Him that He would not torment them; but when Jesus spoke to them, the demons became fearful (Luke 8:28)
d.     Christ demanded of them, “What’s your name?” (Luke 8:30)
e.     The demons responded “my name is legion; for we are many Mk.5:9
f.       When Jesus insisted they depart, the demons, shocked at being expelled from their habitation in the man’s body, “begged him much that he would not send them away out of the country” (Mk.5:10), but to permit them to go into the herds of swine.

4.     Demons may cal for reinforcements
Jesus taught a most revealing lesson about demons in the chapter 12 of Matthew: 43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
It’s possible for demons, which have been cast out, to call other demons for reinforcement and to re-enter the person out of whom they have been cast.  This happens when the person delivered fails to full consecrate his life to Christ.
Therefore the demon Called on other spirits, more wicked than himself; they entered and settled there, “and the last state of that person was worse than the first.”
Jesus said to the crippled man who had been healed, “Sin no more, lest a worse thing come to you” (John5:14).
5.     Demons recognize and obey those who have power over them.
When Jesus was met by those who were demon-possessed, the demons would often cry out; “We know who you are. You are the Son of God.” Demons have never changed. Instance of this happened in Paul’s ministry. Acts 19: 13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preached.
14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded”.
“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with Holy Ghost” (Acts10:38). It was the Holy Ghost who said, “Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them” (Acts13:2).
Jesus said, “These signs shall follow them that believe, in my name they shall cast out devils” Mk16:17.
Mary Magdalene was possessed of seven devils; yet one man, anointed of God, cast out all seven devils.
On the contrary, there were seven men, none of them God’s anointed servants, and all seven men could not cast out even one devil; but the one devil overcame all seven men so that they fled naked and wounded. What a comparison!

Vacant look
Depression: e.g. King Saul 1Sam16:14; 31:4
Mental conflict 2Cor.4:4
People with demonic bondages often suffer from mental conflict and confusion. “in whom the god of this world has blinded.
Resistance to God’s word and prayer

Trance state

Extreme strength Mk.5:3,4. Even the most timid and harmless house wife could posses the strength an ox.
Seeing demons

Guilt: Simon the sorcerer Acts 8:23

Intestinal disturbance; object moving up and down in the person’s stomach

Violent temper: Saul sought to smite David with a Javelin ... 1Sam.19:10

Strange Reaction

Heightened sexuality (most demonic people)

Feeling of suffocation

Vocal noises. Evil spirit can cough, sneeze, speak, lie etc Mk.5:5,7,9,10

Active/passive resistance. The demon can cause the person to fall down and act as if he is dead, swear, laugh etc. Note: An attempt of Satan to discourage Lk.4:35, Mk9:18,20,26

Violent actions: May try to bite, scratch or hit you.

Bad odour: emanating from the possess

The apostles Paul and John give us some practical tips on how to recognize demonic influence or spirits.
1.     Pay Attention To Language And Tone Of Voice.
Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed” (1 Cor.12:3). Often the language used and tone of voice can be enough to know you are dealing with another personality (demon).

2.     Test Their Confession
When the person is under the control or influence of the spirit, this will work: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God;
“hereby know ye the Spirit of God; every spirit that confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God;
“and every spirit that confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God” 1 John 4:1-3.

WHAT CAN DEMONS DO? (Mark 5:1-20)
1.     Demons can give great Physical strength to men
“...2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him”. (Mark 5:2-4).
This demon possessed man (vs2) had the physical strength of many men. When Jesus asked the demon his name, he replied, “My name is Legion; for we are many” vs9
A Roman legion consisted of three to six thousand troops, and this man had the strength of a legion of demons.

2.     Demons Can Work Miracles
John wrote, “And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs... they are spirits of demons, performing signs” Rev.16:13,14. Satan and his demons can thus deceive ‘sign seekers’ (2Thes2:9). Don’t follow signs, let signs follow you (Mk.16;16).
Ø They are lying wonders. We must be like Moses and Aaron. When the powers of darkness are on display, we show that God’s power is greater.
Exo 7:11,12 “...11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerer’s: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods”.
Greater is he that is in you that he that is in the world” (1Jn4:4).

3.     Demons Can Inspire And Control Men
Do not be intimidated by occult groups, false religions, or even merely professing Christians.  They all have one thing in common: they deny the deity of Jesus Christ.
Ø One true test. John said, “Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ [the Messiah] has come in the flesh [that Jesus is the God-Man] is of God.”  All other religions are satanically inspired and demonically controlled.
You can identify false teachers; all you need to do is ask them if they belief that Jesus is God (John 1:1,14) if they answer “No,” they are false prophets.
They may be leaders of large congregations and even thought to be outstanding Christian leaders, but if they deny the deity of Jesus they are not of God.

4.     Demons Can Give Supernatural Power To Men
Do not seek or accept the services of witch-doctors, sorcerers or fortune tellers.
Our Lord calls all believers to “Come out from among them and be separate ... do not touch what is unclean” [2cor6:14-18]. God says we are not to touch the following:
Ø Divination – those who claim to have secret knowledge of the future [fortune-teller]. This practice is demon-controlled (Eze13:6-8)
Ø Witchcraft – witches will be on the increase in the last days. During Saul’s reign one even had the ability – and permission – to bring up the dead [1 Sam 28:7-20].
Ø Mediums – those who claim to have familiar spirits (demons). “For all who do these things are an abomination  to the LORD” [Deut 18:12]
God warned Isreal, as they entered the Promised Lad, to beware of spiritist mediums, saying “You shal not learn to follow the abominations of those nations”  [Deut 18;9-14].
Ø Idolatry – they were not to worship Molech, who required human sacrifice of young children; the Lord called this demon-religion an “abomination.”Even Solomon sinned in erecting an altar to Molech (1 King 11:7).

5.     Can Seduce And Defile Disobedient Christians [Eze 16:20-23]
However, “if ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land” (Isa 1:19). Those who left Egypt “under the blood of the Lamb” have this promise:
“surely there is no enchantment [witchcraft that will work] against Jacob, neither is there any divination [sorcery that will work] against Israel ...” [Num 23:23].
Do not fear the demons. Remember, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” [1 Jn4:4]

The Greek word for daimonizomai is translated in the English Bible, “to be exercised by a devil; have  a devil; be vexed with or possessed with devil(s).”

Some feel the English word possessed is too strong a word to accurately convey the meaning of the Greek word daimonizomai. A more accurate rendering would be demonized.

1.     They Torment and Harass
To be demonized is to be vexed (tormented emotionally, mentally or morally).
a.     Emotional Torment. “ daughter is grievously vexed [demonizomai] with a devil” [Matt 15;22]
b.     Mental Vexation. “ Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: [Greek = Pascho – painful sensation] for often he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water’ ... and Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of  him... [Matt 17; 15,18]
c.      Emotional Harassment. “And they that were vexed  [Greek = ochleo – to harass] with unclean spirits... were healed [Luke 6:18]
d.     Moral Vexation. They came a multitude out of the cities... bringing them which were vexed with unclean {Greek=akathartos – impure, lewd, foul] spirits: and they were healed every one (Acts 5:16).

2.     They Cause Disease and Affliction

This fact, shown clearly in the scriptures, will, when fully understood, serve as a great source of strength to your faith in God for divine healing.

1.     People are Healed
Now you can understand this scripture: “they brought to him [Jesus]many that were possessed with devils” [notice, this was the only class of people specified who were brought to the Lord]: “and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick” [Matt 8:16]
This verse implies that some of the sicknesses which Jesus healed were caused by devils.  He cast out the devils and healed the sick.
Peter said the same thing when he wrote. “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost... who went about healing al that were oppressed of the devil” [Acts 10:38].
a.     The Woman Bowed Over. In Luke 13, Jesus “Was teaching in the synagogue, and there was a woman who was bowed together and could not straighten up.”
The Bible says she had “a spirit of infirmity” Luke 13;11
Was this a blessing from God? Jesus said, “Satan has bound her” vs 16.
Had a medical doctor been asked to diagnose that woman’s case, he would not have said, “A spirit of Satan has bound her.” Doctors would call it arthritis of the spine, displaced vertebrae, or some other medical term. They would be correct as far as medical science is concerned.
But the real source of the trouble was “a spirit of infirmity from Satan had bound her.” Cast out the spirit. Rebuke Satan’s oppression, and she is healed. That is what Jesus did.
b.     The Blind and Dumb Man.Then was brought to him one possessed with a devil, blind and dumb” (Matt 12:22). When the devil was cast out, the blind could see and the dumb could speak.
A blind spirit caused the blindness in that man.
c.      The Deaf and Dumb Boy. “He rebukes the foul spirit, saying to him, ‘you dumb and deaf spirit, I charge you, come out of him, and enter no more into him’” Mark 9:25.
d.     The Unclean Man. “There was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he [the demon] cried out... “And Jesus rebuked him [the foul spirit], saying. ‘Hold your peace, and come out of him’” [Mk 1:23,25; Luke 4:35.
Here was an unholy man in the synagogue, and his condition was caused by a foul, lewd, unclean spirit. The cause of an unholy, lewd character can still be a devil.
2.     Medical Vs Spiritual
Doctors may call it arthritis, but a spirit of infirmity may be the real cause.
The scientific term may be undeveloped vocal cords and dead verves in the ear, but the real trouble in some cases is a deaf and dumb spirit that should be cast out in Jesus’ Name.
The specialist may say it is glaucoma or cataracts, but they may be caused by a spirit of blindness.
Sickness is still of Satan, and can be caused by spirits of infirmity. When these spirits are cast out in Jesus’ Name, the sick still recover.

When you involve yourself in spiritual warfare and deliverance, God says, “Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to forefathers to give them” (Josh 1:6).
And let your reply be: “Whatever you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go” (Josh 1:16)
1.     Christ has won the Victory
Our salvation, our deliverance and our redemption from all the works of Satan have been accomplished by Christ for us.
When he uttered those words, ‘It is finished,” it was like hoisting the flag of the victor over a liberated land where the battle had been fought, where the enemy has been conquered and forced to surrender.
Jesus stripped him of his authority, carried away our pains and our defeats, and arose from the grave, triumphant over the devil. He declared those triumphant words: “It is finished.”

2.     Demons Have No Legal Rights
But why, then, are so many still oppressed by spirits of infirmity, sickness and disease?
Because, though our property has been liberated from the enemy, though Satan’s reign has been destroyed by Christ, though Satan’s power over our lives has been taken from him. There remains a host of demons who continue to resist our freedom and resent our victory.
Demon spirits have no legal right to continue oppressing and afflicting believers with disease and infirmity.  But demons are aware that most people do not know that Satan has made surrender and has been defeated.
Even most Christians do not know that Satan’s forces have no rights over them at all.  So demons continue their illegal opposition to believers’ heritage in Christ, and they defeat many.
As long as people do not know about Satan’s forces have no rights over them at all. So demons continue their illegal opposition to believers’ heritage in Christ, and they defeat many.
As long as people do not know about Satan’s legal defeat, he can operate unhindered.  But our business is to read and believer the record of Satan’s complete defeat, and share the good news with others.
“Forasmuch then as we are flesh and blood, Jesus also took upon himself flesh and blood ; that through death he might destroy [render powerless] him that had power of death, that is, the devil” [Heb 2:14].

“Do you not know that we [the saved] shall judge angels?” [1 Cor6:3].
God’s Word says, “We shall judge angels.” Satan and his angels have already been judged, and sentence has been passed.
Some fallen angels are already chained in darkness, awaiting execution of the judgment (Jude 6). Others, including Satan, have been allowed to continue their evil work of accusing the brethren, buffeting the saints and opposing the will of God (Job 1:6-11.

As I conclude, please make this short warfare prayer.
“Lord, in the Name of Jesus, I come against the strongholds Satan has erected in the mind of [use the person’s name/or yours if need be]. I cast down those strongholds and every high thing in that mind which exalts itself against the knowledge of God. And I release that mind to obedience to Christ. I loose it to be reconciled to God. Amen.”
